Lors d’une conférence avec des investisseurs, le PDG de Warner promet qu’il y aura plus de contenus DC Comics.
La Warner veut étendre ses franchises ! Au cours de la conférence sur les technologies, les médias et les télécommunications du Credit Suisse en Arizona, le PDG de la Warner Bros, Kevin Tsujihara, a parlé du nouveau plan du studio, qui ravira les fans. Elle souhaite exploiter d’avantage les principales franchises comme Harry Potter, DC Comics ou encore Lego, qui sortira en février prochain Batman Lego Movie, dont le trailer a déjà été dévoilé. Mais sous quelle forme ?
« Ce qui devient de plus en plus important, c’est vraiment ces grandes franchises », a déclaré Tsujihara. « Si vous regardez ce qui se passe avec la qualité des produits télévisuels, les films qui y sont diffusés sont de grandes franchises. » Le PDG estime donc qu’il est important d’offrir aux spectateurs de nouvelles fonctionnalités maintenant que la télévision est aussi prestigieuse. La Warner voudrait-elle concurrencer des services comme Netflix ? Son objectif est simple : « capitaliser sur sa base de fans enragés. » Il faudra encore patienter avant de découvrir ce qui se cache concrètement derrière le nouveau projet du studio mais il se pourrait qu’un service de streaming entièrement consacré à ces franchises voit le jour ! Well, it looks like the rumours were true! In an interview with The Associated Press for his new filmThe Accountant, actor Ben Affleck confirmed that his solo film as the Dark Knight will indeed be titledThe Batman.
« The movie, I think, is going to be called The Batman, » Affleck said. « I think that’s what we’re going with now. I might change it. That’s about it, that’s all I got. We’re working on the script, it’s going well, I’m really excited about it, and I assure you, if anything develops, you’ll hear about it. »
The title makes sense for a back-to-basics approach for the DC hero, and while we still don’t know an exact release date for the film, Time Warner CEO Jeff Bewkes recently hinted that it will probably commence production in about a year and a half. The film is rumoured to feature several notable members of Batman’s rogues gallery, along with taking place inside Arkham Asylum. Joe Manganiello’sDeathstroke was also recently confirmed to make an appearance.

You don’t need super senses to see what’s hiding in DC’s new logo.
DC co-publisher Jim Lee says there’s more to the company’s new logo than meets the eye. According to the artist-turned-executive, the new logo – which coincides with the launch of Rebirth – is meant to evoke the insignia of DC’s biggest heroes – Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman.
« The nooks and angles are meant to evoke the Superman ‘S’, the Wonder Woman ‘WW’ emblem and the Bat logo, » Lee explained on an Instagram post.
The new logo will debut with the DC Universe: Rebirth one-shot that hits shelves May 25.
