NBC Cancels Constantine. Show May Resurrect Elsewhere.

Constantine is one television show based on a comic book that didn’t survive to the second season. Bucking the trend of renewals for the genre, showrunner Daniel Cerone Tweeted that NBC has officially cancelled the show.

Constantine was based on the series of comics from DC Comics/Vertigo. The show premiered to 4.28 million viewers in October, but the show had trouble finding footing after. There was talk of the show moving to NBC’s sister station Syfy.

The show was in consideration by the network, but they felt they had a « strong development » roster of new shows, so it wasn’t needed. The actors are under contract to June, so if anything happens, it’d likely be before that.

It looks like from the Tweet the show will be resurrected elsewhere. Cerone is asking folks to show their support by streaming the show, and being vocal on social media, and even writing…
